THE BOOTH! My haven...my safe place. This is where the magic happens. I built the booth at my home in Lincolnshire. Much to the disapproval of my partner. However it is now clear she is actually quite impressed and loves it. I absolutely love my work and hours in the booth can seem like only minutes have passed. The entire booth is fitted with JBER acoustic foam panelling for ultimate sound wave absorption. I have a slight addiction to LED lights which are also within the booth to set the mood!
My mic of choice is the Sennheiser MK-4 cradled within a shock mount and nicely guarded with a pop filter. Out of all the mics I have ever used, this is the Daddy! Featuring fine resolution and outstanding sound quality, it presents such crisp audio for clients' projects. At the hub of my kit is the Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface. This connects to my super speedy Acer Aspire laptop, which is situated outside the booth. All of my recording and editing is made on Adobe Audition which after many many months of courses and self teaching, I have found myself never wanting to try an alternative piece of software.
